
My Story
Vikash Rai, an independent Creative Director based in India, with over two decades of experience across the worlds of filmmaking, live events, television, and post-production.
He began my journey in visual storytelling at the age of 18, starting with content research at Big Ideas and Derek O’Brien & Associates Pvt. Ltd. What began as a deep interest in narrative-building quickly evolved into a multidisciplinary career that has spanned content research, event production, visual design, directing, and film editing.
A large part of his professional life — over a decade — has been devoted to live events and broadcast television, where he served as Senior Producer, Director, and Design Head. He led creative development and execution for some of the most dynamic event formats and televised shows, blending storytelling with spectacle. From shaping the show’s narrative flow to building design systems, directing large teams, and ensuring seamless delivery — all while maintaining the emotional and visual impact of the experience.
In parallel, He has continued to deepen his passion for film and video editing, evolving into a strategic creative voice behind numerous branded films, commercials, and long-form content. As a Creative Director and Senior Video Editor, collaborating with filmmakers, brands, and studios to bring ideas to life with precision, emotion, and visual clarity.
His body of work includes content for global platforms and companies such as Netflix, Warner Media (UK), Meta, National Geographic, Vice Media Group, Prime Focus Technologies, InsightTV, TVS, MTV, Microsoft, Dell, UNICEF, Red Bull, Mercedes-Benz, Fox Traveller, Puma, Rajasthan Royals, NDTV, and many others — across India, the Middle East, and beyond.
